Papworth Village Centre

The Varrier Jones Foundation commissioned Frank Shaw Associates to masterplan the  centre of Papworth, to produce a new village core with facilities that would be accessible to all. The feasibility studies led to a development brief which consisted of mixed use housing, offices, retail, community facilities and public open space.

A new public Library faces on to a new town square and retail area. A public open space at first floor links an office development to the library and public meeting rooms. A village green was then developed and is framed by three and four storey residential accommodation in the form of town houses and flats.
