BREEAM  2008 Offices Award
Frank Shaw Associates is delighted to announce that Defra’s new building, Lion House in Alnwick, is the first office ever to achieve BREEAM Outstanding at Post Construction Review under the BREEAM 2008 offices category. Frank Shaw Associates was the appointed Architect and Lead Design Consultant acting for the Main Contractor, Kier North East. 

During construction the contractor confirmed that 91.48% of waste from the project was recycled, and its three wind turbines, biomass boiler, solar collectors and PV panels are predicted to save an incredible 48,000kg of CO2 every year.
